Cola Clash Week #1 – Central City, NE

Jonathan BarberCola Clash Updates

This was our second straight summer in Central City, Nebraska.  God gave us beautiful weather all week long.  There was no rain this year, and best of all…no tornadoes!  Last year, our Thursday night event was brought to an abrupt ending right in the middle of the message when tornado sirens went off.  It made for an unforgettable night.  God did not allow that this year.  All total, we had 76 teens over the three nights, and 10 teenagers received the Lord as their Savior!  Thank you for your prayers!

While out for a walk with my wife, I spotted a teenager as he disappeared into a house.  I sent a quick text to Trevor Grimes and he was there to recruit him in just a few minutes.  That young man ended up coming all three nights, and accepted Christ as his Savior through tears.  It was thrilling to see the conviction of the Holy Spirit.  He and others have already been back for youth group.  It is wonderful to see God so clearly working in the lives of these teens.  Pray for the pastor here as he leads Teens On Target.  He is very burdened to see these kids through.

This next week we are at the daughter church of Central City Baptist Church.  Solid Rock Baptist Church was planted this year.  Our Cola-Clash is coming at a key time for this young church.  Thank you for your prayers.
