Cola-Clash Week #5 – Manitowoc, WI

Jonathan BarberCola Clash Updates

What a week!  With VBS every morning, and the Cola-Clash every night, our team kept very busy.  It was a fruitful week.  Our Cola-Clash started off slow with only 25 attending on the first night.  But by the second evening, we had more than doubled our crowd at 51.  There were 18 who put their faith in Christ over the three nights.

We had quite a battle on the 2nd and 3rd nights.  Some older teens came who did not want to hear the Gospel.  One boy mocked and laughed all the way through.  He was definitely under conviction, but resisted.  The final night, there were several distractions.  Kids were coming and going, people were talking, and the teen who made trouble the previous night was at it again.  He even mocked the kids who responded at the invitation!  I did have an opportunity to confront him, but at this point, he is still resisting the Lord.  Pray that the Lord will break through in this young man’s heart!

Satan fought hard, but God got the victory.  Over 65 teenagers heard the Gospel as well as several moms, dads, grandparents, and children.  The Gospel was preached at least 10 times this week.  Praise the Lord for the power of the Gospel!

We are headed now to Pennsylvania for two weeks of camp at Servant’s Heart Camp in Ramey, PA.  Thank you for your prayers!
