Cola-Clash Week #7 – Clio, MI

Jonathan BarberCola Clash Updates

What a blessing to be back at Landmark Baptist Church with Pastor John Flanders. Although we have ministered at this church before, this was the first time that we have put a on full-fledged Cola-Clash. It was an intense week with Vacation Bible School in the morning and the Cola-Clash at night. We did not have a problem staying busy!

Vacation Bible School was a lot of fun for us. From the skits with Pastor Flanders to the pie-in-the-face for Ramona and Jake, it was a blast. Mr. Barber, Jake, Mark, and Pastor Flanders all shared the preaching opportunities throughout the week. There were several kids that had their eyes opened to the simplicity of the Gospel and received the Lord.

The town of Clio seemed to be just perfect for a Cola-Clash. There were teens everywhere. Truthfully, someone could’ve just sat outside the church all day and probably recruited 20-30 teens as they cut through the parking lot. Although we did not get a huge amount of recruits, we did have a good percentage of those that we called come out for the event. We had 89 for the week with a high night of 65. 20 teenagers accepted the Lord with 12 of those coming on the final night. We had become increasingly burdened that we had not seen a breakthrough. God answered prayer in a great way that night giving incredible liberty from start to finish. The conviction of the Holy Spirit was evident.

Praise the Lord for another tremendous harvest!
