Real Character Week #3 – Kossuth, MS

Mike FisherReal Character Updates

The highlight of the week was an unexpected opportunity for Tim and Courtney Swanson and me. I was asked by one of the teachers at the middle school to come and speak to their class about making right choices. I did not realize that Tim, Courtney, and I were about to have a tremendous gospel opportunity. Upon entrance into the class room the teacher and students greeted us and the floor was opened up for me to address the subject of how to properly deal with hurt. We know that the only way that you can truly deal with hurt is through a direct relationship with Jesus Christ. The teacher is saved and is very open about her faith. She and her students expressed that they wanted to hear more about the peace of Jesus Christ. I gave my testimony and then sat down. At this time Tim stood to his feet and began to go into a clear gospel presentation directed by questions from the students. During that time, the teens opened up to us about the hurts that they are struggling with and we were able to point them back to Christ. What a wonderful opportunity to proclaim Christ during the school day in a junior high classroom!
