The War — Greenville, MS

Bobby BoslerThe War Updates

Pastor Ken Burkett has pastored Greenville Bible Church for over 20 years and has hosted almost every War evangelist who has led The War—Jim Van Gelderen, Frank Bailey, Billy Ingram, and now Bobby Bosler. Though it has been a decade since The War has been to Greenville, MS, the people were no strangers to the ministry. Many of them had attended when they were teens.

Our week started well in recruiting. Though the public schools were less open than the previous week, we were able to get into several private schools to recruit.

On Saturday, we had a small crowd, but God was working in our midst. Several young people trusted Christ. On Sunday, there was a definite spiritual battle, but the Lord broke through and two more young people trusted Christ. Overall, 9 young people trusted Christ for the week.

Each young person who trusted Christ received a Thee Generation card, which contains the basic description for theegeneration.org. One of the young men who got saved on Sunday night went home and signed the Thee Generation pledge, pledging to a life of total surrender to God and total dependence on His power to reach the world for Christ! Another young man expressed definite interest in attending our Fall Youth Summit, the Cola Clash+!
