UPDATE: Purchase of the Minutemen Headquarters

Jim Van GelderenMinutemen Headquarters

Greetings from the revival evangelism trail. Last week we are rejoicing in almost 50 young people who responded to the Gospel and wanted to be saved. I believe many of them did trust Christ as their only hope of salvation. It was a blessing!

The purchase date for the Colony Motel (Minutemen Headquarters) of March 31 is fast approaching. Recently when we met with the bank they said we would need $125,000 as a down payment in order for the loan to work. We figure we actually would need $175,000 in order to handle the payments for the rest of the amount. Obviously we would like to have all of the $290,000 for the purchase. Would you pray about either sending a one-time gift or committing to a monthly gift for five years (our maximum goal to pay it off)? If you are considering a gift and could let us know, it would help in our planning for this coming deadline. A school in Miami let us know they were making this project one of their mission’s projects for this year. That was a great encouragement.

If the Lord has used Minutemen Ministries in the past in your life or church, please pray for the project. We are thrilled with all the Lord is doing these last few months through Minutemen Ministries. Our Real Character team has been in several public schools and several are scheduled for this year. The War team has seen a great harvest of souls in 2012. The War of Special Forces team has been encouraged with souls saved and Christian teens revived. We see this Headquarters as a needed foundation for future expanded ministry. Perhaps the Lord will lead you to be a part of it in some way!
