Placerville, CA is probably best known for its place in the famous gold rush. Some of the names around the area reflect that history. I first came to Bible Baptist in Placerville in 2008. That is when I met Pastor John Labins and we began to form a friendship. Pastor Labins has done a great job. His people were very warm and responsive when we introduced the burden of the week on the first Wednesday night.
The team did an outstanding job recruiting teens. Several of the teens in the youth group assisted us with the recruiting effort. We had a pretty good number of teens show up over the three nights although we had some conflicts in the area. Several teens were saved. It seemed like the youth group really got behind the week. Our team hopes that many were encouraged with the Gospel and its power.
