War of Special Forces Week #1 – Monroe, WA

Jim Van GelderenSpecial Forces Updates

School starts late in Washington State.  Normally the War of Special Forces only ministers in churches with Christian Schools, but since no Christian Schools were in session in mid-August we were grateful for Pastor John Stima’s willingness to have our team conduct the ministry in his church in Monroe, WA.  Pastor Stima started this church over a decade ago and is doing a good job.

The highlight of this week was a peer group of guys that came each night.  One of them posted the War of Special Forces on his web site.  Over the three nights several guys in this peer group came and trusted the Lord.  Two of them are still attending the church weeks later.  One with longer hair cut his hair before he returned the next night.  No one had said anything to him.  When I asked him about it he said, “You know . . . last night . . . a new start.”  When I showed him the verse in I Corinthians 11:14 he was geniunely thrilled.   Please pray for these guys.
