This is the team’s second visit to Valley Christian School in Santa Maria. Pastor Jim Schettler was a great blessing to the team. He was able to join us for some critical times of prayer. I believe that the prayer meetings were where the battle was won.
On Thursday night we had several lost teens and adults in the service. There were well into the double digits amount of people who responded to the Gospel invitation. Two were a mom and a dad who responded to the invitation and were saved.
Several students dealt with bitterness issues and pornagraphy. One mentioned after getting things right with his parents, “Our home is happier.” On Friday during the school day we had a testimony service that went for at least 45 minutes. The students gave some very substantive and helpful testimonies. In fact several other students responded during the testimony service to deal with issues in their own life because of what they were hearing from fellow students. Especially powerful were the testimonies of young people who dealt with bitterness. The team was thrilled with victories that God won in lives.
