It was so good to be back at Grace Baptist Church of Kettering, Ohio. This was our third Cola-Clash here with Pastor Shaw and Pastor Kagin. It was great to see again what God is doing in this church. It is truly a church on the move!
God blessed our recruiting by allowing us to get 435 teenagers recruited before the event. We had hoped for a higher percentage of attendees, but with the first week of school conflicting with the Cola-Clash rallies, our crowds were smaller than usual. However, God gave us a good group of young people (60 altogether) and 10 individuals accepted the Lord as their Savior!
On the final night, Pastor Kagin asked those individuals who had received Christ this week and were not ashamed, to stand. What a thrill to see the teenagers stand up in front of their peers. He then had them stay behind to give them follow-up materials and invite them to a Bible study. All of the teenagers were invited back for a Movie Night to watch, Evolution vs. God. There was definite interest.
We look forward to the next opportunity to be back in Kettering. The fields are white!
