The Cola-Clash team ventured into new territory this past week – Teen Camp. The Lord opened the door for us to minister at Servant’s Heart Camp at their brand new property in Ramey, PA. The camp is now located on 215 beautiful wooded acres of land. They also have a beautiful lake on the property that is perfect for swimming, fishing, and boating. There is no plumbing or electricity yet, so that was a little interesting for the team, but they survived just fine!
The Lord mightily blessed the preaching this week. These teenagers were attentive, responsive, and open. One young lady got saved on the first night! She had been holding out for quite some time. By Wednesday, another boy trusted Christ as Savior. He too had been holding out for quite a while. He wasn’t sure he was part of the “elect.” But, evidently he was! 🙂 Praise the Lord for the clarity of the Gospel! He told me afterwards, “These are happy tears. It feels like Christmas.”
Throughout the week there were multiple decisions of surrender. The Friday night campfire/testimony service was truly a blessing as one after the other publicly declared what God had done in their lives. Several have very difficult decisions to make as they return home, and several are returning to difficult surroundings. God is able!
It was such a joy to preach at this camp. It has been a good change of pace for the team as well. On Sunday, we ministered at Steam Valley Bible Church in the morning, and at Anthony Baptist Church in the evening. We had great services all day. We look forward now to a week of Junior Camp here at SHCM before heading off for our final 4 Cola-Clash weeks of the summer. Thanks for your prayers!
