What a blessing to be able to minister at First Baptist Church of Napoleon, Michigan this past week. Pastor Coleman was a great blessing and encouragement to our team. Not only was he a great help with the Cola-Clash itself, but he was quite a help with our van. What a blessing to have the van’s brakes completely overhauled and in ship-shape! We were really blessed by the fellowship this week.
Well, coming into Napoleon, we were not sure what to expect as far as recruiting was concerned. Being a small town, it can be difficult to find teenagers. God blessed our recruiting times and although our numbers were lower than usual, we had good, quality contacts for the Cola-Clash.
Wednesday night our faith was tested as we had rain from morning until evening. It was not a downpour, but it was still enough to get wet! God brought out the teenagers despite the weather. I honestly wonder if some of the kids came because of the rain. We had an attendance of 49 on the first day! God helped the teenagers to have a receptive spirit toward the Gospel. At the invitation, 20 young men responded and received Christ as their Savior! It was truly amazing to see God at work, and to see such liberty!
Thursday we had 53 and Friday there were 45 in attendance with a total of 80 over the three nights combined. 24 total decisions for salvation were made this week. What a victory! This was truly a week where we saw a demonstration of the Spirit and of power (1 Cor. 2:4-5).
