It was good to be back at Troy Baptist Temple with Pastor David Mulvaine, and assistant Pastor Mike Foster. Our Cola-Clash was set during the evening of their week of VBS Olympics. It was a very full and very blessed week. This was our third straight year at Troy Baptist Temple. Every year has been full of the blessings of the Lord.
God greatly blessed the recruiting time, allowing us to recruit over 430 teenagers – the most we have ever gotten here. This ended up being crucial since we were up against some other community events this week. One such event, a community night in the park, took place on Tuesday night. There were teenagers everywhere! This provided a wonderful opportunity to invite teenagers to the rally.
Wednesday night was our best crowd ever in Troy, OH with 82 teenagers attending. There were 6 professions of faith that night. On Thursday and Friday however, we were up against it. Thursday at 6pm was mandatory back-to-school orientation, and Friday was the grand opening of the County Fair! Humanly, it looked bleak. However, God overcame those obstacles sending us 69 on Thursday and 70 on Friday! Rain was predicted so soccer games were canceled. However, God moved the rain allowing those kids who were now freed up from their soccer games to attend! All total, there were 16 professions of faith this week!
Pastor Foster informed us that about 5-6 teenagers from the Clash were out on Sunday. One of them came to choir practice later that day and wants to join! Pray for this church as they follow through. They are trusting for fruit that will remain.
