The Real Character team had the opportunity to conduct a program that we typically do not have the opportunity to conduct. Our program is normally conducted with three teams inside of the public schools; however the week of September 5th we conducted a two team program with Brother Phil Prettyman. The Lord saved thirteen souls despite the intense opposition. The Lord used this week to show us that faith can be sustained even when our feelings and other externals do not line up with what God says.
A testimony from this week comes from the life of Jason. Jason is a dad in the town of Pine Bluffs who was involved in the final two nights of the program. He brought cookies the final night which was much appreciated. Jason is around forty years old with a wife and three kids. He was saved at a young age, but unfortunately backslid away from the Lord. He married a Catholic lady and stopped going to church. During the course of the week he got assurance of his salvation, his son got assurance of salvation, and his daughter got saved. Jason’s wife, displeased with the inconsistencies of the Catholic Church, was confronted with the truth that it is only through Jesus that we can have a home in heaven. Jason told me the last night that he intended on being in the church service on Sunday with his family, because he wants to follow what the Lord says.
Continue to pray for the Real Character team. We are in Douglas, Wyoming this week conducting one more two team teen event before we head to Mississippi where we will start our first public school outreach in the fall semester.
