Pastor Dana Cline and I were on the same hall monitor crew some 30 years plus ago. In 2010 we had the privilege of coming to the church he pastors to conduct the War of Special Forces. This year we returned and had a wonderful time.
The students were a great bunch with which to work. The Navy Seals and Marine Recon dominated much of the week. The Navy Seals won on the last night by a slight margin after the Army Rangers attempted a comeback. The Recon fell barely into last place as a casualty of the comeback Rangers.
The team was grateful for several students who either nailed down there assurance of salvation or really got saved. I was thrilled with a new student, who testified on Friday night, that she had been spoken to by several students about her salvation. Thank the Lord she got saved during the week.
On Friday, during the invitation almost the entire student body responded to the invitation. We had a corporate prayer meeting and there were some sweet prayers of expressing the teens’ dependence on the Lord. That evening several of those teens gave wonderful testimonies of the Lord’s working in their hearts. It is always a blessing to hear of the Lord’s working in hearts! The week was a slow rising tide of evidence of the Lord’s working. There was a sweetness to the week and we will look forward to coming back in 2016, Lord willing.
