I was unusually excited to return to Galilean Baptist Church in Cedar Hill, TX. While there, I found out that this church had a history of God’s mighty works. John R. Rice had personally planted the church and it was the church where the Sword of the Lord periodical had its beginnings. Pastor Brewster and Pastor Wilkerson are able men who are leading the church onward to victory ahead.
Last time we were there, God had blessed in ways I had never seen. We had 40 young people saved and a great attendance. Throughout the years since our last visit, I was heard thrilling reports of young people going on for the Lord and families reached. When we arrived, I was anticipating another harvest and continued growth!
While there had been challenges along the way for sure, I met some of the families who had been saved through the results of the previous War. They were faithful church members! What a blessing! We yearned for more. God brought a good crowd and we had 24 young people saved throughout the week. However, the most exciting thing for me that I know the people of Galilean Baptist—I know they will give everything they can in God’s strength to love, mentor, and assimilate these young people in the nurture and admonition of the Lord!
On a humorous note, digging the mud pit was a challenge; the team literally had to carve it out of solid rock. Many thanks to the Wilkerson boys who gave of themselves to make it happen!
