The War was privileged to join with Bluegrass Baptist Church for a week of an intense battle for souls. Bluegrass Baptist is a 5 year old church-plant with two men who know how to walk with God and run a church. Both Pastor Kyle Fannin and Pastor Brian Fulcher are men of faith who are doing an incredible work for God in their community. Their example and leadership were an incredible encouragement to me and our team.
Our week was an adventure, to say the least. We conducted our events on the church’s future site just south of town. We set up for our indoor events under an open pavilion on the new site. Generators were used for power, vehicles to section off counseling rooms, and tarps were pinned up to form make-shift walls.
Recruiting went better than expected, as we were able to find over 400 teens interested in the event. 60 attended over the course of the week. God did a real work in hearts. One young lady told her counselor that she had grown up at a church in the area her entire life, but had never heard the gospel before. She was so relieved to find her salvation in Christ alone. Another older teen was so excited about what God had done in his life, he wanted to bring his entire family to hear the Good News. 15 were saved over the course of the week.
