The War Week #2 – Creedmoor, NC

He giveth power to the faint;

and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

the youths shall faint and be weary,

and the young men shall utterly fall:

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength;

they shall mount up with wings as eagles;

they shall run, and not be weary;

and they shall walk, and not faint.

Isaiah 40:29-31

“Faint” would most definitely describe the state of our team as we entered the week at Bible Baptist Church in Creedmoor, NC. The challenges that we faced finishing up our previous week left each of us emotionally, physically, and spiritually exhausted. Even the first few days of the week, most of us were still on an emotional roller coaster as we wrestled through the “what-if’s” and “now-what’s”. Yet in the midst of it all, whenever we looked unto Jesus we always found His grace sufficient, His strength available, and His purpose unchanging. We experienced the reality of what it means for God to be our fortress and our help. Even though we were weak, there was one thing we determined early on in the week–we were not going to let the devil win. There were still souls to see saved and a fight to be fought.

We stepped out in faith this week, believing the promises while not always feeling the emotion. Praise be to heaven, God abundantly blessed! We were able to recruit over 300 teens in a rural community where it was difficult to find anyone. A total of 73 teens attended the event with a high night of 53! God blessed mightily in the gospel appeal with 30 young people trusting Christ as their Savior!! We praise the Lord for enabling us with His divine strength to fulfill His unchanging mission–to reach the lost with the power of the gospel!
