The War Week #3 – Pine Bluff, AR

The War was at Liberty Baptist Church a year ago. God greatly blessed last time in spite of some opposition the final night. One young man who was saved, Michael Henderson, continued to follow the light God was giving him and surrendered to preach. He has been reaching his friends ever since. With that knowledge, I was greatly looking forward to returning.

As was the case the previous week, we encountered some spiritual opposition immediately upon stepping on the church property. However, we were not fooled this time, and we resisted it. God broke through and began opening doors wide. We were able to recruit in two lunch rooms. We had an excellent number of recruits by the time Saturday came around. We were expecting a harvest.

The first night came, and so did a good number of teens. We had 87 teens over the three nights. There were some very athletic young people at our event as well! I have never seen a more athletic game of Big Ball Volleyball and Basketball as I saw there! Sunday morning we had some heavy rains, so the field was very soft for our second night competitions. Basketball with the Big Ball turned the field into a slip and slide covered in two inches of thick mud. Sufficed to say, spoke tackle was messy. We had one large, athletic young man pushed over and he must have slid 10 feet! The young people got more muddy in spoke tackle than they did in the mud pit!

God did a great work all three nights in the preaching. The first night, we had 13 young people trust Christ as their Savior. The second night 5 were saved. The third night, I asked Michael to give his testimony. He gave it with power. After the invitation, 8 put their faith in Jesus alone! Praise the Lord, overall 26 teens got saved!!
