Probably a decade ago I was out in California speaking at a camp, when I came to Heritage Baptist Church in Antioch, CA to speak on a Sunday. During that day I spoke with Pastor John Mincy about our burden for Christian schools and our new program, War of Special Forces designed to minister in and through a Christian school. He graciously invited us to come when we came out to California. Well, in 2008 we finally made our first trip out that way and were grateful to be at Heritage for the War of Special Forces. This time was our second visit and Pastor Jim Oesterwind is the new pastor. He was the assistant when the team was out here in 2008. We really appreciated his spirit and support for the week. He has been through some challenging health issues, but you can tell the Lord is working in and through the situation.
Several in the school really got some things right with the Lord. Those that gave testimony at the Friday testimony service were definitely used of the Lord. We had an encouraging response to the Gospel message that night.
